Chile's Atacama

The Atacama region in northern Chile is epitomised by the high peaks of the Andes that cut right through it’s eastern side (there are over a dozen individual mountains over 6,000m high in the state alone) whilst at the same time having a coastline that sees one of the best cetacean migration seasons in the southern Pacific. I may have only travelled here once but all things being equal it’s somewhere I will return to for sure.
