Madagascar

I have only been fortunate enough to visit Madagascar once, in 2019, and I very much hope to return. An island where pretty much everything is indigenous and is home to the lemur family in particular, so iconic from my childhood fascinations in the natural world, was always going to appeal. It is a tough place to travel and photograph in for sure with this applying on many levels, in particular the challenges of poverty and conservation coming head to head at times.  It is though rewarding in terms of opportunities  and experiences though and that is what drives all of my photographic time after all. The result is a smallish gallery by comparison, but one I hope to build on too.
