Africa

I’ve often heard it said that given the evolutionary theories that we are all descended from a small group of humans who populated the world from Africa, that it is a continent that we subconsciously feel at home with when we visit. Given it’s amazing diversity size and spread it’s not something I completely subscribe to but nevertheless there is most definitely something special about feeling the earth of the place between both your literal and proverbial toes. It is inevitably a huge draw for anyone keen on wildlife and photography in particular such is the relative ease of finding dramatic and iconic species on a good safari. Good, different images in these settings are harder to achieve and it has often been in the process of exploring more out of the way corners that I have enjoyed my favourite encounters and results. Some of my favourites are in these collections although of all the regions I have worked in I have the biggest back catalogue of all from here so it will continue to be updated as I catch up.
